Interim eCommerce Product Owner/Digital lead

We are seeking an Interim Product Owner with experience in eCommerce or digital product development to support the eCommerce team at a global company during a 6-month paternity cover. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) will focus on assisting with eCommerce platform roll-out activities, hands-on execution of storefront delivery, and close collaboration with core teams to deliver a best-in-class eCommerce experience. The ideal profile will be responsible for managing the product backlog, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth platform deployment across markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute sprints, aligning development work with the roadmap.
  • eCommerce Platform Rollout Management: Drive the successful rollout of the eCommerce platform to various markets.
  • Market Customization:
    Address individual market requirements and ensure localized adaptations for optimal performance. E.g. adjusting payment options, adding specific data fields, or other localization requirements
    Work actively in CMS to enable new locales & setup storefronts for upcoming markets
  • Support in Rollout Activities: Provide hypercare support, manage incident reporting, prioritize bugs, and handle general incident management to ensure a smooth launch.
  • Onboarding Support: Develop training materials, how-to videos, product demos, and conduct hands-on sessions for internal stakeholders.
  • Backlog Management: Create, specify, and maintain backlog items, requirements, and feature models in cooperation with business teams, peer product owners, and architects.
  • User Story Preparation: Write clear and actionable epics and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritization of Incidents and Bugs: Continuously prioritize and manage bug fixes to ensure smooth platform performance and user experience.
  • Change Tracking: Maintain a changelog of decisions and updates for seamless handover and development tracking.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure the development team understands backlog items to the necessary depth.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collect and document detailed requirements from stakeholders, translating them into user stories.
  • Stakeholder Management: Set expectations, manage requests, and communicate progress and changes to the eCommerce roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background and ability to quickly grasp the existing product technology and platform
  • Technical understanding of e-commerce platforms (Salesforce B2B Commerce experience beneficial)
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in eCommerce or digital product development.
  • Having good judgment to prioritize and fix the most critical issues during in a hypercare phase
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce development processes, including agile methodologies and sprint planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good UX/UI skills and experience in working with a product design team
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously in larger organizational settings
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Min. a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on mentality with a “get things done” attitude.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with Figma and principles of responsive design.

Scope: 20-25 hours per week. Hours can vary from week to week and flexibility is an advantage
Location: On-site at office in Copenhagen with the possibility for remote work as well
Timing: Start 26th May until 26th Nov 2025
