Freelance Digital Product Owner

For a well-known international home improvement company, we are looking for a freelance Digital Product Owner to join their Web Consumer Experience team.

Role:
The Digital Product Owner owns the backlog for the Web Consumer Experience team, which shapes how consumers meet the brand online at every step of their journey. They decide what the team builds and in what order, based on priorities and KPIs set by the business.

Key responsibilities:
- Prioritise. Own the roadmap and a single ordered backlog in Azure DevOps. Weigh customer value, business value and effort to decide what goes first.
- Guide the team. Give the core team clear direction and a shared goal, keep priorities steady, and remove obstacles so designers and specialists can focus on their work.
- Run the cadence. Lead the weekly triage of new requests and take part in refinement and sprint planning across two-week sprints.
- Plan ahead. Weigh each new request against existing commitments and make clear what needs to shift when something is added.
- Kick off new work. Support the service designer in kicking-off new initiatives, helping ensure all relevant teams are involved and understand their roles in the project.
- Deliver outcomes. Be accountable for results and report progress and risks to the Web Experience Manager.

Profile:

You are a good fit if you have:

-Experience with Scrum, ideally on web or customer experience products.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a global organisation with regional markets.
- Clear prioritisation skills and the confidence to say no.
- Hands-on experience owning a backlog in Azure DevOps or a similar tool.
- Working knowledge of UX, analytics and SEO.

Stakeholder management:

A large part of the role is bringing together people who do not often talk to each other. Expect competing priorities from markets and functions, and be ready to explain the reasons behind a no.
- Leadership and business owner. Align on priorities, report progress, provide early warning of risks, and escalate when priorities conflict.
- Regional markets. Work with the Web Experience team to gather their input and learnings, support roll-out, and explain trade-offs. Ensure they have a voice in priorities and that global solutions work locally.
- Global functions. Understand dependencies and risks across teams and projects.
- Web development team. Work with the PM to refine stories, define realistic scope, and sequence IT-dependent work.
- Core team. Give the service designer, PM, UX/UI designers, and analyst clear priorities and fast decisions. - You own prioritisation; they own design quality and delivery mechanics.
- Specialists and agencies. Give SEO, CRO, and tracking experts clear briefs at the right time. Involve them at kick-off and keep them updated throughout the project.

Scope: Full-time freelance
Timing: As soon as possible and for approximately 11 months
Location: On-site min. 3 days a week north of Copenhagen
