Freelance Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Marketing Manager to join the marketing team of a global B2B company for maternity cover. You will be part of a growing team with the ambition to build a world-class marketing function. As the primary marketing contact for a newly established business unit - a startup within the company - you will help build its marketing presence. The marketing strategy for the unit is in place, and you will turn it into effective campaigns and ongoing activities. This is a hands-on role with close ties to the business, the internal marketing team, and external agencies.

 

Role

Plan, coordinate, and execute ongoing B2B marketing activities across relevant channels.

Take over and manage the business unit’s first paid campaign, working with external agencies on assets, delivery, and follow-up.

Track campaign performance, interpret the results, and apply the insights to future lead generation activities.

Orchestrate multichannel campaigns for different audiences and stages of the B2B buying process.

Work closely with commercial stakeholders and the internal marketing team to align activities with business priorities.

Brief external agencies and act as a sparring partner on their recommendations and work.

Keep projects moving with clear ownership, follow-up, and attention to detail.

Write and adapt content if needed

 

Profile

Proven track record in a B2B marketing role within an international corporate environment

Strong understanding of B2B buying processes and how to coordinate effective multichannel campaigns.

Solid knowledge of paid media and other relevant B2B digital channels.

Experience managing agencies and working with commercial teams and other stakeholders.

Able to assess marketing data and campaign performance and turn findings into practical next steps.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with a hands-on attitude.

Equally comfortable discussing campaign direction with an agency and writing copy when needed.

A strong communicator who can explain marketing priorities and build alignment across teams.

Professional working proficiency in English.

Based in Denmark and available to work on-site in the Copenhagen area three days a week.

 

Scope: Three fixed days per week.Potential to increase to four days per week or full-time.
Timing: Start date: 5 October 2026, including a one-month handover. End date: November 2027.
Location: On-site west of Copenhagen.
