Freelance Digital Project Manager - DAM Operations

On behalf of a purpose-driven, internationally recognized company known for its innovation and commitment to sustainability, we are looking for a freelance Digital Project Manager with strong experience in marketing technologies—particularly DAM (Digital Asset Management) and ideally PIM (Product Information Management) systems.

This is a cross-functional digital operations role within the global Marketing Enablement & Technology team. You will play a central role in developing, optimizing, scaling, and ensuring strong global adoption of the company’s DAM platform, working across marketing, content, and technical teams. Your contributions will help the platform deliver real business value and support an ambitious digital transformation journey across global markets.

This freelance position starts in January 2026, running for 12 months, with a full-time workload and a hybrid working model from their office in north of Copenhagen.

Role

  • Identify and gather platform requirements from global users and business stakeholders.
  • Translate needs into prioritized features and detailed specifications for the technical development team.

  • Coordinate development processes, including testing, approval, deployment, and user communication.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the DAM platform, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.

  • Drive continuous platform improvements in close collaboration with developers and business teams.

  • Support global adoption through training, communication, and internal advocacy for best practices.

Profile

  • Strong hands-on experience working with DAM systems in a marketing or communications environment.

  • Solid understanding of digital asset workflows and cross-channel usage (web, social, video, etc.).

  • Familiarity with related systems like PIM, CMS, or streaming/social platforms is a plus.

  • Skilled in stakeholder communication and translating feedback into clear, actionable requirements.

  • Experience working with agile methods (Scrum, sprints) and cross-functional teams.

  • Comfortable working in a large, international matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • A self-starter mindset with a balance of technical understanding and business acumen

  • Set-up as a freelancer and located in Denmark - on-site work required.

 

Start date: January 2026
Duration: 12-month freelance contract
Workload: Full-time (5 days per week)
Location: On-site presence north of Copenhagen 3 days per week + remote flexibility.
