Freelance Data Engineer – Full-time (On-site in Central Copenhagen)

On behalf of a well-known media company based in central Copenhagen, we are looking for a Freelance Data Engineer for an ongoing project. You will join their established data team and take responsibility for maintaining and further developing a modern and efficient data platform built around Snowflake. The project requires a seasoned profile who can quickly get up to speed with the setup and deliver results from day one.

The contract begins in April 2026 and initially runs for three months, with the possibility of extension.

Role:
• Maintain and further develop data models in Snowflake, which functions as the company’s central data warehouse and AI platform.
• Work with DBT (Data Build Tool) to build, test, and orchestrate data pipelines.
• Create and optimize Power BI reports based on data from Snowflake.
• Contribute to Python-based data jobs running in AWS, as part of the company’s pipeline.
• Be an active member of an experienced data and analytics team, offering technical sparring and execution.

Profile:
• Solid experience as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst.
• Proven experience with Snowflake – both in modeling and operations.
• Familiar with DBT and experienced in building data models and orchestrating data flows.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization.
• Basic experience with Python and understanding of automated jobs in AWS.
• Quick to understand existing solutions and able to deliver results with minimal onboarding.
• Operates as a freelancer with own CVR number.
