Freelance Marketing Specialist - Bloomreach

We are seeking a Freelance Marketing Automation Specialist to support an international, well-known retailer in driving customer loyalty and personalized digital engagement. The role focuses on setting up and optimizing data-driven customer journeys and automated flows using Bloomreach Engagement, with strong collaboration across markets. The ideal candidate will bring solid technical experience with marketing automation tools, strong analytical skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Role
• Establish and optimize automated customer journeys across key lifecycle stages.
• Set up, test, and refine marketing flows in Bloomreach Engagement (Exponea) based on first-party customer data.
• Build segmented and personalized campaigns to drive loyalty, frequency, and conversion.
• Implement and manage trigger-based communications (e.g., onboarding, win-back, birthday, reactivation).
• Conduct A/B testing on content, offers, and channels to maximize performance.
• Analyze financial KPIs and loyalty metrics to evaluate the impact of campaigns.
• Deliver insights and best practices to local marketing teams in Denmark, UK, and the US.
• Ensure consistency and scalability of loyalty activities across markets.
• Participate in the strategic development of the digital loyalty platform.
• Develop and refine personalized communication based on purchase history, behavior, and preferences.
• Identify and implement new initiatives to drive adoption of Click & Collect and other digital services.

Profile
• Proven experience with Bloomreach Engagement or similar marketing automation platforms.
• Strong capabilities in:
• Automated flow setup and testing
• Segmentation and targeting
• Personalized messaging across email, push, and in-app
• Voucher distribution and performance tracking
• Reporting and KPI evaluation
• Experience with Firebase for event data, business logic (Cloud Functions), push notifications (FCM), and system integrations (e.g., coupon and loyalty logic).
• Familiarity with Storebox for loyalty card administration and points logic.
• Understanding of digital commerce platforms and Click & Collect services, including payment gateway integrations Payment gateway integrations ( Friisbe in DK and UK, Stripe in US).
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on customer behavior and conversion optimization (CRO).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to support cross-market teams.
• Setup as a freelancer with own CVR number

Scope: Fulltime for 3 months

Location: On-site in Copenhagen
